It’s national wellness month, and if you’re going to toast to your health anyway, why not celebrate with tasty and refreshing mocktails that pack a nutritional punch?
Healthy lifestyle expert Michelle Harris, host of Alive & Well with Michelle Harris, a national TV series promoting the wellness lifestyle, is among the many celebrities that are avoiding alcohol these days, along with Natalie Portman and Brad Pitt. Even Dorit Kemsley from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has her own line of alcohol free bubbly, called alcoholic free champagne line called L’Astuce Cuvee Zero.
Harris takes the alcohol free craze one step farther, by actually making them nutricious. “I have added powerful antioxidants like Sambucol Black Elderberry syrup to many of my mocktail recipes, to help support a healthy immune system,” she says. “Using healthy fruit, natural sweeteners along with nutritious add-ons, they take any drink to the next level.”
So you get a shot of vitamins in your National Wellness Month toast? How appropriate! And how healthy!
Michelle was kind enough to share some of her super healthy mocktail recipes with us. Take a look at her:
