5  Ways Decocrated Subscription Boxes Could Be Your New Best Friends

Lisa Johnson Mandell and Frankie Feldman get into the holiday spirit with the latest Decocrated subscription boxes.

True Confessions time: I’m not a crafty person. I’m not even a decoratey person, although I have great respect for those who are. My work leaves me little spare time, but often takes me to extravagant events where the decor is lavish, lovely and totally beyond my ability to recreate. I wouldn’t even know where to start.

That’s why Decocrated subscription boxes sounded good to me.

To quote the promo material:

Decocrated subscription boxes“Save time and money on decoration and new seasonal home decor, and get all your goodies in one box. Whether you continuously wish your home looked like it was out of a catalog or want a festive flare this year, Decocrated is the answer for you! With seasonal boxes featuring eight curated pieces and styling pro tips, you’ll never have to worry about changing your home’s decor to match the season.”

Sounds great, doesn’t it? Even if the price, $299.99 annually or $89.99 quarterly, did sound a little steep to me. I had to check it out, because Decocrated gets great reviews, and my lame holiday decor doesn’t.

I was sent the 2022 Welcome to Fall box to try. It came in an attractive box, and when I opened it, found it was full of  items I never would have been able to find myself, and wouldn’t have even known to look for them. They made me realize how hopelessly behind I am on seasonal decorating trends, but also how easy and quick it is to catch up.

So here are the five things I ended up liking best about my first Decocrated subscription box, and why it’s working well for busy little old me. See if you agree:

Decocrated subscription boxes

1. Decocrated subscription boxes save money: Once I started to work the with the contents, I began to understand the price. The convenience of having a curated box of decorations arrive at my door is priceless. I don’t have to spend money on gas or parking, and I don’t have to worry about things not matching, or investing the time and expense to return them.

I know that most of these items, if I purchased them individually, would probably be less expensive. It’s the same concept as the meal subscription boxes, which I’m a big fan of (especially Gobble). The ingredients would be cheaper if purchased separately, but having them curated and delivered to your door is SO worth the extra expense.

2. Decocrated subscription boxes save time: By now, you’ve probably figured out that the time it would take to track all these items down in different stores, or even online, is endless. As a busy woman with a 30-hour a day schedule full of work, family, fitness, community work, a social life and maybe even some sleep, seasonal decorating is very low priority.

Unless it shows up at my door and take 10 minutes to assemble, which leads us to the next point.

3. Decocrated subscription boxes are effortless: Don’t know what to put where or how to combine them? There are plenty of photos and videos that show you exactly what to do.

Case in point: I was clueless about the two-tiered farmhouse tray that came in the box, let alone how to assemble it, which turned out to be quite simple and intuitive.

But once I was informed by the guide that they’re very popular, and that people not only use them for finger food but as ways to display holiday tchotchkes, I got into the spirit of adding dimension to my displays. Easy peasy.

4. Decocrated subscription boxes stretch: Not only can you pack them away and use them next year, but the Fall box will last from October through November. With but a few tweaks, I can convert my Halloween decor to Thanksgiving decor. That’s wicked intentional.

I suspect the Winter box can take you through January, with a few additions and subtractions of your own.

5. Decocrated subscription boxes make me feel good

When I walk into a room that’s festively decorated, it not only makes me feel warm and cozy, but it makes me feel like my home environment is that much more inviting. I feel like I’ve made an effort to brighten things up for myself, my friends, my family…and even Frankie Feldman!
